RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning) is a way of getting any previous relevant experience – working, training, volunteering, including activities in the community – formally recognised towards a qualification. This can be a shortcut to getting a qualification because you will be formally recognised to have completed parts of the training requirements.
This incorporates skills you have learnt in a workplace or in life situations. It also takes into consideration previous study or qualifications and any demonstrated ability in a variety of skill sets (as appropriate to the qualification being sought).
Australian Education Hub services are delivered by a team of assessors with years of experience who are passionate about your personal development and progression.
RPL is generally faster than completing a qualification from scratch and provides you with the opportunity to get:
For example you may work in a job where you manage Workplace Health and Safety but haven’t had any formal training. We can recognise your skills through RPL, with the appropriate evidence being provided and you won’t have to go to any other training provider to learn things you already know and do.
Applying for RPL does mean some work on your part, but we are here to coach you through it.
We provide RPL Australia-wide Through Our RTO Partners
At AUSTRALIAN EDUCATION HUB, we’ve built up a solid track record in assisting Australian workers to successfully convert their skills into qualifications through prior learning assessment and recognition.
Your evidence can be collected from a range of sources including the following:
The qualification you get is the same that you would get if you completed a full training qualification but with the added bonus that you won’t spend time in the classroom going over things you already know, making it faster.
RPL with Australian Education Hub allows you to achieve a qualification faster and is generally more cost effective than a traditional classroom course. Achieving a qualification through Australian Education Hub could empower you to:
We have designed our RPL process to maximise your opportunity to receive recognition for the experience, knowledge and real life skills you already have.
Our staff are experienced and want to help you get the best result you can. We are a student centred training organisation.
We are not just here to make a quick buck, but believe in making sure our graduates are job ready and of value to their employers.
Our student support is part of this process with each RPL candidate assigned to their own assessor whose job it is to guide them through the process.
From 1 January 2015 if you are undertaking nationally recognised training delivered by a registered training organisation you will need to have a Unique Student Identifier (USI). This includes studying at TAFE or with a private training organisation, completing an apprenticeship or skill set, certificate or diploma course. A USI gives you access to your online USI account which is made up of ten numbers and letters. It will look something like this: 3AW88YH9U5. A USI account will contain all your nationally recognised training records and results from 1 January 2015 onwards. Your results from 2015 will be available in your USI account in 2016. When applying for a job or enrolling in further study, you will often need to provide your training records and results. One of the main benefits of the USI is that you will have easy access to your training records and results throughout your life. You can access your USI account online from a computer, tablet or smart phone anywhere and anytime.
